Sylvia Q Sierra

A Sylvia Sierra and Susan Urband collaborative piece ... the most special design we've created together!  We call this necklace piece our Tree of Life because we created it on September 11th as we watched televised programming of this American tragedy.  Susan handcrafted and hand-painted the 99% fine silver leaf charms (15 grams) that Sylvia incorporated in her hand-stitched blend of turquoise, pearls, and glass beads.  The turquoise leaf we found whiled on a trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico handcrafted by a Native American jewelry artist. This turquoise leaf serves as the very unusual clasp ... when it is intertwined with the beaded loops.  A simply beautiful piece.  Oh!  And the fine silver leaf earrings shown in one of the images are available for $150.  These pieces are hand-sewn and must be treated with the care.  Should any of the strands become loose, send it back to me, and I'll be more than glad to repair it.  It's an honor to me for you to wear it so I'll get it back to you as fast as possible.
